Grown by United Nursery, the Ficus Retusa Bonsai, or as it is more commonly known, as the Banyan Fig, is a round, rapidly growing, broad headed evergreen tree with a beautiful full spread. The small dark green glossy and leathery leaves, which alternate up the stem, are densely clothed on its large somewhat weeping branches. New growth is produced all year long and is a light rose to chartreuse color, giving the tree a lovely two-toned effect. The smooth, light Grey to reddish bark dotted with small, horizontal flecks, similar to tiger like markings, is quite striking and firmly supports the massively spreading canopy. The Retusa is among the most tolerant, versatile and trouble-free bonsai trees for indoor use. To beautify your plant use containers with drain holes to drain excess water and keep your plant healthy. - SIMPLE TO CARE FOR TROPICAL PLANT – Your Ficus Retusa Bonsai requires bright to medium indirect sunlight yet are tolerant in lower light conditions, making them perfect houseplant companions. Water the plant only when the top inch of soil is dry with filtered room temperature water and never let the soil dry out, keep it moist but not wet. Always allow the water to drain and dry accordingly before watering again. The Ficus Retusa lives comfortably in 60-80 (F) temperatures.
