Good for price I think these are good for the price.I think these are good for a beginner to get tools to get them started. While some bonsai master would laugh at these tools, why spend $25 dollars per tool to get you started, when you can spend a total of ~$25 dollars for 4 tools plus a case? Awesome Bonsai Tools Fantastic set of first timer tools. I saw some of the reviews and the complaints about the tools being oily. The oil is to keep the tools from rusting, but I can offer you an old carpenters trick, use SC Johnson paste wax. You wipe down the oily tools with a clean cotton towel to remove the excess oil. Then you add some SC Johnson paste wax onto a clean cotton towel and buff your tools with the wax. It gives your tools a protective barrier from water, moisture and rust. I would give them a good…

Definitely not the most amazing tools, but I’d say they’re a good bang … Definitely not the most amazing tools, but I’d say they’re a good bang for your buck for a new enthusiast. They’re a little small, but when you’re new to bonsai you’re probably not working with large material. Should suffice for the relatively young nursery stock and yard collections you probably have. I’ve opted to swap up to the 14 piece set since I get a lot more for the extra $30. As long as I keep them clean and dry when I put them away, I expect they will last me a several years until…
