Japanese Black Pine (Pinus thunbergii) is an excellent, small, irregularly shaped, pine tree. The plant tolerates dry soil and salt. The dark green, twisted needles are 5 to 7 inches long. It grows approximately 12 to 18 inches per year. It is hardy in zones 5-8. It’s mature height is 30 feet with a spread of 20 feet.
It is also an excellent choice for a bonsai tree.

6 sprouts after 2 weeks I have 6 small sprouts so far. I post pic to show the small sprouts. Hard to see them through the bag and they are small right now. So I soaked the seeds 24 hours. Then put in moist bag with paper towel for 4 days in top the fridge. I then planted in jiffy pellets in seed tray. Put in ziploc bag on top of fridge for 1 week. So far when I just checked 6 sprouts. Will wait one more week then take out the sprouts and place the remaining seeds in the fridge for 4 weeks. I hope the…
