This is a 100 gram size tube about 3 1/2 ounces of Bonsai pruning compound. This pruning sealer, imported from Japan, is one the most popular Bonsai pruning compound in the world. Similar to the Callousmate but with more flexibility when dry. It’s clean, easy to handle and virtually vanishes after being applied. It prevents diseases, insects and decay from affecting your bonsai after pruning. It has the consistency of toothpaste and dries quickly into a translucent, greenish, waterproof sealant for pruning wounds. This stuff is very easy to use and a tube of this will last a long, long time. When an injury or break in the bark exposes the underlying wood, bacteria and fungi in the air and on the bark contaminate the wound surface. At the same time, the tree (bonsai or other) responds to the wound by producing chemical and physical barriers in an attempt to block the invasion of microorganisms and to seal off the damaged area. This fast drying sealant and grafting aid contains insecticides and fungicides and forms a smooth, dark green cover that remains quite flexible. As the callus forms, the paste drops off gradually without leaving marks. Will not crack like putty-type paste. Apply to a thickness of 1-2 mm. We import our products regularly and directly from manufacturer to ensure our product is fresh.

Its growing new shoots more vigorously than if I had left it be. I am glad I purchased this. Don’t worry about the negative reviewer mentioning the tube explodes, it does not (maybe it was a hot day when they pressed on the wrong spot?). All you have to do, like any ordinary tube (like toothpaste) is roll it up from the very back end of it (the flat seal…
